As expected, a solid performing cable. x2, a PAIR of cables. As soon as I opened my package, I was immediately astounded by the heft. These felt like some hardware rope coming out of the package. I didn't test the 80kg capacity, but I definitely believe it. That's 176lbs, so, most of my body weight. Cool deal. *see pictures of it bending (or not bending) under weight of a solid metal Swingline stapler*6FT confirmed, with room to spare. (see photos) I admit, I was skeptical. That's 1.33/ft at the current sale price at time of review. Wow. Hard to beat, when Two (2) OEM Samsung USB-C Data Charging Cables for Galaxy S8/S8+ - Black EP-DG950CBE- Bulk Packaging Samsung's own 2 pack is about the same price per foot, and comes unbraided. Check back for update when my Note 8 arrives, and I'll include information from that OEM cable. The cable tie included is the same cable ties since Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy Note 7, about a year ago. Smooth Velcro, still going after over a year of use.I compared this physically to several versions of the old Samsung Galaxy S7 cable type, and will add Samsung Note 8 cable details to compare to when it arrives. One area of concern for me is textured portions for inserting into the USB port and device. One side is USB-C, so there is no "up or down," either direction will plug into your device. Maybe OCD or aesthetics matter to you.On the device USB-C side, there is a blank inset flat smooth black surface just smaller than the metal plug width that my thick man finger can still notice amid the roughed plastic plug.On the power USB A 2.0 side, there is an appropriately scaled (and just smaller than the metal plug width) Anker text in white inset flat smooth black surface. Once you learn which direction it is supposed to face in your particular instance, you've got an indicator so you don't have to keep trying to plug it in. Especially helpful for at night, when it seems I try to plug it in about 3-5 ways BEFORE finding home. Some details: (will add Samsung Note 8 cable details when it arrives in the mail)Measurements taken with Digital Caliper (pictured) +/-0 0.3mm1 Anker Powerline+USB-A dimensions 6.85x15.7mmUSB-C dimensions 6.93x12.33mmCable thickness 3.7-4mm (braiding has some give)2 Old AnkerUSB-A dimensions 7.65x15.69mmminiUSB dimensions 6.34x10.01mmCable thickness 3.73-3.76mm (cable plastic has some give)3 OEM Cable (Samsung Note 8)USB-A dimensionsUSB-C dimensionsCable thickness4 OEM Cable (Galaxy S7)USB-A dimensions 7.88x15.03mmminiUSB dimensions 5.36x11.81mmCable thickness 2.58-2.63mm (cable plastic has some give, although this cable is the most worn)5 Samsung Insurance replacement CableUSB-A dimensions 7.3x14.63mmminiUSB dimensions 5.78x10.9mmCable thickness 3.34-3.36mm (cable plastic has minimal give)As for texture: | Powerline | Old Anker | Samsung OEM | Samsung ReplacementDevice | Y* | sorta | Y | noPlug | Y | sorta plus | no | no*unnecessaryAs usual, Anker confirms the quality I desire. Will buy again.
