lovely for the first few hours until it decides that the wifi is too far away even though connecting to the internet gives you more than 500 times better connection
Easy to set up and use. Works great and a low price.
No shared a detailed connection setup procedure but I got from googling it.Although it didn't work well and let it like that at home.
Worked great, easy to setup, no problems at all.
wasted hours trying to make this work. after an hour with tech support, they finally said it was incompatible with my TP-link router. I bought a tp-link repeated specifically because I thought it would have no problem with a tp-link router. they said it was becuse the router does not have WPS but the setup states it will work without wps. I have to say their tech support was patient and thorough but we could have saved a lot of effort if the product warned that WPS was required.
I found a deal for the extender and just bought it, it supposed to be easy to link with my home network but I faced a bit problems, at the end I made it work
This product really didn't make a huge difference in the range of my WI-FI.
Did wonders for extending our wifi out to the back yard. Excellent product for the price.
Arrived just as described. Sealed in a box! Easy to setup. Took me less than 2 minutes for the initial setup. Then I went ahead and did the full detailed setup and that took less than 5 minutes. Overall great product. Great coverage of wifi. I highly recommend this product for the price.
I purchased this on June 17th and had the same issue all along. Setup is easy (WPS or hard wired), the connection speed is about 1/3 to 1/2 of what I get when not using this extender. The problem is it just does not work after a few days, I see the network with full bars but it just does not connect to it, almost as if it is asleep. It will say connecting for a second or two, then just say "saved" without actually connecting to it. I have reset it about a dozen times, tried changing the extended network names, relocating (it is dead center between the modem and room I need the signal), changing the setup steps and more. I have tried to reach TPlink on a few occasions with no luck as you just sit in a queue for an endless amount of time. Tonight I was third in queue, and made my way to first in queue after 15 minutes. I stayed on the phone waiting as I was next and after 30 minutes I decided to not invest any additional time in trying to fix this.
Was easy to set up with WPS. A little patience waiting for the blinking light to settle helps. I measured signal strength, coverage and speed. Signal strength and range was better than my primary router. But remember the concept of a repeater: it decodes the signal and re-transmits it. You thus get only half the speed on the retransmission network. In areas of signal overlap, you are better off choosing the primary Wifi (router), even if signal strength is less. My general experience with TP-Link gear is that it is good while it lasts, which is typically 2 years. But then they are cheap to replace.
I received the item July 23, installed it, and it seemed to be OK at first, but at least did not harm. In the past few days (August 5-8) I could not get WIFI in home locations that had previously received strong signals. I disconnected the device and my signal was restored. This device is faulty and I would not recommend buying it.
Great for those looking for a cheap wi-fi range extender but the manual is a bit tricky, we tried over 100 times to get it right and if you ask me i still don't remember how we got it to work. One repeater works good over a 30 mts area.
Very quick to set up and works fantastic.
This product deserves 0 stars. It looks nice but does not work at all like the instructions say. Tried multiple times and did factory resets.
Worked for a while. Now it doesn't. Had it less than a month. Easy set up, sucky drop in wifi quality. Base wifi is stronger than this "extender".
I was skeptical about how good the range extender would work, but i have to admit, it actually sped up my Wi-fi on my PS4. My router is located on the opposite side of the house where my PS4 was located so unless i was going to hardwire it and run it all through the house, there was no way for me to gain speeds faster than 1mb. Now I'm running close to 20mbps with this extender and the difference is night and day.Setup was easy and straight forward. It took me about 5 minutes to set up and get it working using Option 2 on the instructions manual (Setting up via computer). One thing you definitely have to make sure is that you're placing it somewhere in between the router and the area where you want stronger wifi signals. When i first set it up, I automatically placed it directly on the opposite side of the house, so i had the router on one side and the extender on the other. The extender can only pull from so far, so the speeds didn't change much at first. Once i placed it somewhere halfway, everything worked great! for $15 bucks, this was def. worth it!
I've been using this for almost a year now and it has worked great. It's very fast to set up and helped with getting the wifi to work a million times better upstairs in my house. There was one problem a couple months into using it, but it was solved with just a quick reset.
The product came quickly and looked as described, but it did not work as it was supposed to. I bought this product thinking that it would extend the WiFi from my router upstairs the my kids rooms downstairs so that they could do their homework, unfortunately this product didn't work, our WiFi was exactly the same with or without it.
