My second Holy Stone drone, and first with FPV perspective, I was extremely excited to get this drone. The camera is adjustable in-flight up to 90 degrees, and records both on your phone (if connected through Wi-Fi – also can be flown without) and on a provided memory card for easy sharing. The size is deceiving: this drone is very quick and nimble, so I highly recommend one of Holy Stone’s other drones first for beginners (I started with the F181C). They also include a flight log-book, which I think is a great little add-on.I have been amazed by HS customer service – they monitor a Facebook group and are very quick to respond to issues. When the motors on my first drone burned out (possibly from back-to-back-to-back flights without letting them cool down in between) they initially were going to send replacements, but ended up sending a brand-new drone since the motors were out of stock. The brushed motors can overheat, so I strongly recommend letting them rest a bit between flights.
I flew this drone today in 20 mph gusting winds. The GPS held position very well. The Return To Home (RTH) worked perfectly. The camera gimbal is very slow, but it works if you are patient. This is NOT a camera wagon for professional photographers like the much more expensive DJI machines, so don't expect really super smooth video. As a starter drone or fun drone for experienced pilots at a very reasonable price, I think it deserves 5 stars. (I am a certified FAA sUAV drone pilot.) The video that I've attached was taken in VERY gusty winds up to 20 mph, so don't be surprised at how jerky it is.
Now , look at HolyStone ! This drone is a big step up . In a fair breeze was powful enough to hold a position. GPS is a charm. New design make it easy to fly in this a breezy day. Pretty fast .have not checked camera yet ,On first flight I can't find anything wrong.Stormy for next two days so stay tuned.I'm gonna complain about a glaring mistake. One Battery....sucks. you need at least two for this sweetheart.
