I initially purchased this item for either my husband or brother in law. My husband just started a job after finishing his Ph.D. When applying for jobs, he grew out a mustache, since in his opinion it made him look less like a "little boy." I hate it, partially because of how patchy his facial hair grows in. He had tried to grow a beard about a year or so ago, and I thought it look awful. Maybe it would be better if it were well kept.My brother in law does not seem to have the facial patchiness problems that my husband has (though they are brothers). He has been growing a mustache for awhile. My sister in law jokes that he has "more products to use on his mustache/beard than she owns for her hair...". She said he doesn't have a comb though. So when I actually received the product, I was quite surprised by the size. It is heavier than the description led me to believe, but not too heavy to feel completely misled. Personally, I feel this comb is more suited for a ladies' or girls' hair. If used on a long beard, I think it would also be useful. I have my concerns about a mustache though.I love the color of this comb. It looks very beautiful and sturdy. I thing the engraving adds a nice touch as well.
