This product is great! I would recommend to anybody and the quality is wonderful. I would absolutely buy again
The paper is very good for watercolor which is all I use it for. It's a very big book and handles the water well. It's good for lightweight paper
I ordered this for my daughter who loves to draw she's an upcoming tattoo artist. This sketch book is great for that. She loves this sketch book cause it has thick pages that she can use different types of drawing material like pencils, color pencils, charcoals and even paints. This is a well made book it's very sturdy. I would definitely recommend this to my friends and family. I received this at a discount for my honest opinion.
Great paper! Fantastic!!!!
I like to doodle a lot, and I think this is good enough sketchpad for me. I like this sketchpad that comes with spiral design, that allows me to do sketch freely, and tear or share the page easily, unlike the glue bonding pad, that it can't be tear down or if you tear down, you might damage the bonding. 98lb paper is good enough to do any kind of pencil sketch. Enjoy carrying it with me in my bag anytime. Glad to order with a discount, love it!
Watercolors, gouache, and acrylic do work, but I guess I prefer heavier paper for painting. Paper is pretty soft and can be torn fairly easy, so if torn edges are something you do or want to try this is a great paper for that. The spiral is great and makes it easy to leave your work in the book.I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion.
So excited to receive this tablet. My students love art and are thrilled to be able to be creative with "real" art paper rather than just copy paper or construction paper. I was surprised by how thick and light the entire tablet is when it arrived. The description said it is micro perforated. It was difficult to view the perforated area. I just ripped the page out and trim the edge off to clean it up. The kids enjoyed painting and drawing on the paper. It's a great starter pack for beginning artist or a doodle book.
The paper wasn't good when using the tombow dual brush pens. Thin layers of paper would start coming off. I am not sure it's a paper issue or a marker's issue, but either ways, it didn't work :/
Great sketchpad. heavy paper and the 100 sheets is nice
This is a nice sketch pad for an amateur like me. I've always enjoyed drawing with pastels, charcoal & colored pencils and this pad is good for that use. I'm learning to paint with acrylics and look forward to using this pad for that also. This is high quality acid free paper. The micro perforations are so small that I can't see or find it... so instead of a clean edge, I'm left with having to cut a straight line. Not what I had hoped for.I purchased this item at a reduced price in exchange for honest and unbiased opinion.
This is a great sketchpad. My son loves to draw, color and paint. This paper is perfect for all those mediums. The markers and paint do not seep through the paper. It has a nice light texture that holds the color, but doesn't create lines or marks as you color over it. I like that it is spiral bound, it's easy to keep all your work in place. The binding is heavy duty, so no need to worry about the pages tearing out too easily. This would be a great addition to any artist's toolbox.*Disclaimer - This product was provided to me at a discount for the purpose of writing a comprehensive and unbiased review. This paper is much nicer than I was expecting. I was surprised how heavy the box was when I received it from Amazon. It's definitely high quality paper. My 12 year old artist loves it for pencil drawings. She says it doesn't smudge, and she likes that she can fold all her drawings back and not have them flopping around like non spiral sketch books do. She hasn't tried it with watercolors yet but loves it for pencil, colored pencil, and charcoal. The pages are attached to the binding very strongly so they aren't likely to come out accidentally either. My artist father in law was very impressed with the quality of the book and the number of pages in there as well. I think he's going to be ordering one for himself. That's a man who's purchased many many sketch books over the years and likes this one the best.Seriously, this is a good quality product for any aspiring or professional artist. I received this item at a discount in exchange for an honest review. I take honestly very seriously. I would definitely purchase this again when my daughter fills this one. Though with as many pages as are in here, it's going to be awhile.
This sketch pad came encased in a thin, clear plastic. What I Like about this Sketch Pad1. First off, it's a lot larger than I had thought when I ordered. It's a full 9 by 12 and there are 100 pages to draw on.2. You can use this paper for sketching, and even painting with watercolors and acrylics.3. It has a thicker 98 lb. paper.4. The book is spiral bound, which the artist in my family prefers. It's easier to remove your artwork as well.5. The paper is rather smooth, so not like watercolor paper. What Could Be Improved1. I wish the cover was stronger cardboard, as it got bent slightly during transit.I purchased this sketch book at a promotional price for testing and review purposes. I love the fact that you can use wet and dry media on this paper, though it's more suited for pen and pencil. The paper is nice and thick and should please the budding artist in your family.
I bought this for a school art project and believe it will suit my needs. It is larger and heftier than I expected. 100 pages is almost 2 inches thick. I like the coil at the top which binds the pages together. It's a large coil and the pages turn easily on it without catching or tearing. The paper itself is of a good weight and texture.I would have like this item to have a heavier cardboard back, but it's not a deal breaker that it doesn't. Would purchase again.I purchased this item at a discount in exchange for my honest review.
I'm an amateur when it comes to water coloring, and so far it holds up great! Most beginners tend to put down a lot of water on the sheet, which does cause it to buckle a bit but if you do give it time to dry it shouldn't do so I think. The water will not go through the page, it's a very sturdy student grade paper. Attached is an image of my first watercolor painting. (I know it's horrid but it can only get better, did it to see if it would hold up well.)
This is a very generous sketchpad. My daughter is the sketcher in the family and she has been doing this since she could draw with her crayons. she has doodled on her classwork and on paper in her class and for that, i always give her sketch pads to sketch with still and she is now a 28-year-old Teacher with her own classroom. This pad has 100 pages of acid-free spiral bound paper. I think this will give her some fun for part of the year.I rcieved this at a reduced price for an honest review.
I love this sketchpad. It is a good size for the comfort of drawing and sketching. I like that my watercolor paint doesn't bleed through the paper. I like that I can easily tear pages out if I want to.I bought this pad at a discounted price, but my opinions are honest and unbiased.
Great quality paper! I recently got a set of watercolor pencils so when I saw this huge notepad, I was super excited. For those that haven't used watercolor pens, pencils or paint before....you cannot use any paper for watercolor. Since it, obviously, uses water to blend and color, the paper needs to be thick enough not to bleed and to not just absorb the water without spreading the color the way you want it. Hopefully that makes sense. Either way, Michaels and craft stores sell watercolor pads but they're usually really small and there aren't too many sheets. This pad is great quality, wonderfully priced AND it works. Absolutely love it.Disclaimer: I received a discount to try and test this notepad and to give an honest review. I tested this for a while and used a good number of sheets and every time, I am completely happy. It's seriously great quality. I am not affiliated with this company at all and I did not receive any compensation. I was given a discount purely to try it out and give my feedback/review. Let me know if you have any questions.
This is a really good high quality sketchpad. The paper is pretty thick allowing you to use various types of art supplies on it. My son is an artist and I am always buying him different sketchpads. He really likes this one. This may be our go to sketchpad here on out. We also like the metal rings on top that makes it easy to change pages. I highly recommend this! I did receive this product for a discount or free in return of an honest and unbiased review.
This Sketchpad is wonderful! The pages are nice and thick so it is great to use for watercolors, yet it is smooth enough to use pens and pencils with. It is really nice that it made for mixed uses, especially for kids. Kids and some adults alike, like to experiment and see what type of media they would like to use. This Sketch Pad makes that easy to do. The size is also very nice. A 9x12 is a great size and it can be easy to frame for those special pieces. I received this at a discount in exchange for my fair and honest review. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for high quality low price sketchpad.
